Xenith, originally known as Xenith Consulting, is a leading consulting firm providing exploration, mine planning, and financial solutions to resource companies worldwide. With deep expertise across various mining operations, they deliver industry-leading optimisation and scheduling services. Recently, they expanded into the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) space, offering land access negotiations, environmental impact studies, and other ESG-related services. Xenith also provides corporate solutions such as independent valuations, expert witness services, and strategic reviews. As part of their rebranding efforts, the decision was made to simplify the company name by dropping “Consulting” to better reflect their broadened service offering.

The Challenge

Founded in 2005, Xenith had built significant brand equity but was seeking a refreshed, modernised identity that retained core elements resonating with their stakeholders. As they expanded into ESG services, they needed a rebrand that reflected this new direction while maintaining their established reputation in the mining and resource industries.

Our Solution

To meet Xenith’s need for a refreshed yet familiar brand, we began with a workshop involving key stakeholders to understand their rich history, evolving ESG focus, and future ambitions. This led to the development of a brand framework, centered on a clear Brand Heart and Brand Promise, ensuring the new brand retained its equity while aligning with future goals. This foundation became essential for consistent communication and resonance across all brand touchpoints.

We then moved into the visual identity phase. Xenith’s original logo, featuring four overlapping tiles symbolising the company’s founders, was modernised to preserve a connection to their past while projecting a fresh, forward-looking image. The reimagined design, along with a comprehensive style guide and refined tone of voice, formed the core of their new brand identity.

We rolled out key assets like business cards, proposal templates, email signatures, and office signage, ensuring a cohesive implementation of the refreshed brand across all platforms.

The final stage was a website redesign. The wireframes and designs were well-received, with minimal revisions requested. The most complex aspect involved structuring the site’s taxonomy to reflect Xenith’s project lifecycles and asset management processes, but once resolved, the development moved smoothly. Built on WordPress, the new site offered a user-friendly interface and flexible foundation for future growth, further solidifying Xenith’s position as an industry leader and innovator.
