2015 – Year in Review

We are celebrating the end of 2015 in style, with a band of Nousketeers doing what Nous does best. Working on our abs 😉

It’s been a big year in branding and online marketing, with changes coming from many sources. Some of those changes have a greater impact for brand positioning, allowing you to get more reach and ROI from your advertising spend.

Social media is now more important than ever, with new ways of advertising across all platforms. There’s instant interaction and video platforms, including periscope and meerkat, allowing brands and users to engage on a more personal level. Snapchat and Instagram have changed their advertising opportunities and Facebook is allowing advertisers to gather data from within their platform through Facebook lead ads.

The Google search engine made major changes this year with the Mobilegeddon update in April, additional Panda quality updates and a Penguin update which made changes to local listings from a 3 pack of results to a 7 pack, which also impacted Google maps.

In the world of branding we saw the Tokyo Olympic committee withdraw its emblem under calls of plagiarism, and Google developed a new logo, brand and company – Alphabet with it’s own distinct domain name of abc.xyz
