To increase the rate of cross selling to existing business customers, BOQ identified an opportunity to target business investment customers who do not hold a transaction account with BOQ. It was definitely a challenge, as the majority of customers who also have a transaction account, had it before opening the investment account. We were able to offer ‘monthly fee waived’ for a few months, and created a very personalised letter with handy peel-off card with the owner manager’s details.

This approach resulted in a higher response to the previous campaign, with more accounts opened. Post analysis of the data showed an even higher result in certain geographical areas which will be worked for the next mailing.
